Why Therapeutic Art Workshops?

Art has always been a powerful way to connect—both to ourselves and to each other. From a young age, we’ve been communicating, expressing, releasing, and learning through the act of making art, both individually and together. Art allows us to process emotions, reflect on our experiences, and build connections, creating a bridge between inner and outer worlds.

When I built my practice, I made a commitment to dedicate time every month to partnering with local organizations in meaningful and engaging ways. Through these collaborations, I’ve seen firsthand how art can heal, reduce stress, and foster a sense of community. Therapeutic art is about the process, not the product. It provides a space for self-expression, emotional growth, and stress relief in a supportive, non-judgmental environment, whether in a group or individual setting.

How to Design Your Workshop Idea

Step 1: We Will Define Your Goal or Theme! We will meet to discuss your vision and goals you have in mind for your workshop and event day.

Step 2: Choose Your Workshop Format

  • Group Workshop: Great for team-building or events with multiple participants.

  • Individual or Small Group Sessions: Perfect for more personal, focused experiences.

  • Drop-In Activities: Ideal for festivals, corporate events, or community gatherings.

Step 3: Pick Your Workshop Length

  1. Short Sessions: 1 hour (ideal for quick, impactful experiences)

  2. Medium Sessions: 2-3 hours (great for deeper exploration)

  3. Full-Day Workshops: Comprehensive experiences for intensive personal or team development

Step 4: Select Your Art Activities. Choose the types of art-making activities that best suit your theme and group:

  • Collage-Making: Create visual representations of identity, self-expression, and goals using mixed materials like magazines and photos.

  • Pinback Button Making: Design custom pinback buttons as a fun and empowering creative expression.
